What are some interesting facts on stem cells and human embryology? I need some interestig facts on stem cells, human embryology and just generally smart stuff about the human body... i need some interesting facts on cells (especially stem cells), human embrology, and the human genome
What are 4 characteristics of human embryonic stem cells that make them a unique and useful human tissue? ? And one more question what cells are used to create human embryonic stem cell lines? Be specific....Thank you so much If you can only answer one thats fine to
What are the main chracteristic differences between stem cells and normal human cells? i know that a stem cell is a non differentiated cell, and can grow into almost any kind of cell. and that there are 3 main types and where they can come from. i need to put this question's answer/s into a context that i could maybe put it into a table comparing stem cells and normal cells. Anything else in relation to your viewpoint on the issue is also appreciated. ~this is for study into a science assignment, any help is appreciated.~ could you maybe tell me also what things stem cells do that normal cells dont and vice versa. What are the organelles in a stem cell, how do they function ... do they have organelles? thanks
What do human stem cells look like? I am doing a biology project and I need to find a picture labeled of a picture of a human stem cell do you know where I could find one? I tried googling it and looking on a bunch of websites but I couldn't find really any pictures of it. Please help. 10 points for the one who finds a picture for me any picture. thanks
how can stem cells benefit human in the future? please list all the future usages of stem cells that can benefit human. thanks.
Are you for limiting the use of human stem cells? Specifically the making of Hybrid Stem cells [mixing of human and animal DNA]. http://www.cbc.ca/health/story/2007/01/05/chimeras.html
Do human stem cells have a right to life? People who say abortion isn't murder, because an embryo isn't a living human may not be aware of the high value scientists place on stem cells. Researchers seem to think they are more important than common tissue, such as skin, bone, or liver cells. Aren't stem cells themselves, the essence of human life in it's smallest form? Unlike common tissue, stem cells have the unique ability to produce any, and all the other types of cells. There seems to be a contradiction here, between the abortionists, and the researchers. The former places little value on minute quantities of human tissue, the latter seems to think very small amounts of some tissue can be the salvation of the human species.
Does anyone know history of law on human cloneing / stem cell (embryo) research in AUS? Im trying to find out what the first laws relating to human stem cell and embryo research were, both internationally and in Australia. Please help??? Sources appreciated.
why is human embryonic stem cells used for treating rats in labs?? is it possible to use embryonic stem cells from HUMAN for treatment of rats? why not use rat embryonic stem cells?? is it a typo by the writer or I simply just not understand much bout it see the article at : http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2005/05/050510193918.htm I thought they have different dna sets and stuffs ? that s not my question. I am confused, w/ the ability of human cells works in rats. Should rats be cured using stem cells from ratts only? WILLL IT MATCH (the DNA and stuff)?
Can you use stem cells to recreate a human body part like an ear? If they collect a baby's cord blod to store and the baby is born with a birth defect like an ear not developed right, can his stem cells be used to regenerate the ear so that it can be implanted on the new born baby?
have scientists successfully implanted stem cells into a human? I've been working on a paper, and I want to know if scientists/doctors have actually tried to implant non-specialized embryonic stem cells into the human body.
What limitations do STEM cells from an adult human epidermis have? Please explain based on origin and distribution of tissue types and germ layers.
Morally?Ethically speaking how do you feel about cloning human embryos to extract stem cells? http://www6.comcast.net/news/articles/science/2008/01/17/Cloned.Embryos/ Can you elaborate? What makes it wrong if the donor of the embryo that was cloned consents. How exactly does that differ than abortion? Well other than cloning is beneficial towards the scientific community for research.
Human Adult Stem Cells: Culture Purity? How pure are HUMAN [not mice] adult stem cell cultures? websites greatly appreciated.
Can you use stem cells to recreate a human part like an ear? If they collect a baby's cord blod to store and the baby is born with a birth defect like an ear not developed right, can his stem cells be used to regenerate the ear so that it can be implanted on the new born baby?
If stem cells are just a small physical manifestation of a human and the soul is separate? why is it such a problem for people to study the stem cells to use this to cure all diseases to make life better for people. and why say its human? comparing a stem cell to a human is is like saying a tire is a car
What are the latest updates on human cloning? stem cell research? Is human cloning ethical? please give me some developments on the human cloning issue and about the stem cell researches.thanks ^_^
What is Human Embryonic Stem Cells? What's the issue with them, if any?
Is There A Difference Between Embryonic Stem Cells and Those Found In Adults? I read something about how red blood cells or lymphocytes (i am drunk, so i can't quite remember) come from stem cells. If adult humans have stem cells, why can't we use those instead of embryonic stem cells for research (since Bush is a dick about the subject)?
Why is it OK to clone an animal and kill it for meat, but not OK to use stem cells from an embryo? A little follow on from one of my previous questions. The FDA in the US has approved cloning animals for meat production, but the government won't approve taking stem cells from human embryos which would be destroyed anyway. Presumably they are more concerned about their food. emp, if you think you are "more equal" than a cow, you need more humility. midnight.... read your own link. There is a whole list of research which is not funded.
Do embryonic stem cells represent a human life? why or why not? what are the implications of this?
What is your opinion on Human Embryonic Stem Cell research? and do you know any good websites that explain about it?
What are the various benefits and potential costs of stem cell research and human cloning? What are the various benefits and potential costs of stem cell research and human cloning?
What are the various benefits and potential costs of stem cell research and human cloning? What are the various benefits and potential costs of stem cell research and human cloning? Are there alternatives that do not require destruction of a human embryo?
Relationship between neoblasts and human stem cells? What are the similarities and differences? -idaho native websites would be helpful :D
How are neoblasts related to human stem cells? What are the similarities, differences? im doing a project on planaria organisms and im f****** yea websites anything this is a 3rd of my grade thanks
what is your position on the stem cell research and human cloning? What are the benefits and potential cost of stem cell research and human cloning and what are the shor and long term ethical, moral, and scientific consequences of human cloning.
Is it possible that medications derived from human stem cell material may lead to adverse effects like kuru? I mean, it's a little like cannabilism (seemingly far removed), but prion diseases are kinda tricky.
Is human embryonic stem cell research immoral? You see, when I asked if people would eat stem cells to stay alive most of them said no, so I'm confused on why there is so much defense for stem cell research... *embryos to stay alive... Chicago Gurl: So, would you eat a handful of living human embryos to stay alive? justdaves: so, you think I care how the viable embryo was created. That is just another side step... justdaves: Then just admit that you would eat embryos. Admit it then, others have... Jacob: I am not in school, and I know many things about stem cell research. And, of course, I believe IVF is immoral.
Have they ever been able to get embyonic stem cells from...................................................... a pig to behave in such a way as to give them encouragement that human stem cells would prove useful? We learned in High School Biology that pig physiology is very close to human physiology. Why haven't we heard about any astounding breakthroughs in pig stem cell research? I am not talking about using pig parts in humans, but rather have they been able to get pig stem cells to help in any way with cures for pig problems. If they won't work in pigs, why would they work in humans?
what is human stem cell research? if you give positives and negatives of human stem cell research I WILL CHOOSE YOUR ANSWER AS THE BEST ANSWER THEN YOU WILL GET 10 POINTS
What do you think of human cloning and stem cell research? Is it ethical or is it man trying to play God? I am also taking the 2004 elections into consideration - apprently most of America was not ready for this (except California, as far as I remember)
