do you get charged to donate cord blood?
some peoplehave mentioned donating cord blood and i didn't know this was an option and now would like to consider doing this in the future, if you donated your babys cord blood did ou get charged anything for it? I am assuming no and whoever uses it in the future will pay for it.... correct?

- no youdon't get charged they use it a lot to find cures for stuff but if you want to save it incase your baby needs for anyting later in life you have to pay for it
- You have to pay collection, processing, and annual fees for storage of the cord blood if you plan to use it for your own family, but there is no charge for donating it to a public cord blood bank. Some doctors charge a fee for collecting it, though. There is a special collection kit that you would need to have with you at the birth.
