Anyone here study biochemistry and molecular biology?

I studied medicine in Taiwan for the past 5 yrs and got my MD. But I feel boring and tired so I want some change. I will go to some american university in the southen part to persue my PHD of biochemistry and molecular biology because I wanna do some research of basic human biology. It's very useful. Now I wonder how is the study of biochemistry? Is it difficulty? Or boring? or something else?
