- I have not done it but to store something like that of course it is going to cost money and the cost will be different at each place that does it.
- Ya it cost for some amount as they have to store it for along and unfixed time. they charge you for the same. not for the extraction only for preservation.
- yes it does. they dont do anything for free. i didnt do it, but they asked my daughter if she wanted to pay for that when she had my grand daughter two years ago.
- It does cost money for storage if you wish to keep it for your own use. But, if you want to donate it to the National Bone Marrow registry there is a private company called Cryo-Banks Intl, that will send you the collection kit and the instructions to send it in to them for banking. You have to register with them between yoru 25-34th week of pregnancy to donate it. If you're not going to keep the cord for yourself, please consider donating it. You never know -- your baby could be a match for a child or an with cancer and save their life.
