Anyone going to preserve cord blood, is it a good investment?
Or is it a waste of money?

- It's a great investment especially if you or your spouses family has alot of health issues. It could save your childs life
- If you are rich, go ahead, or if you have a lot of health probs. in family, but you have to pay like $1200, plus another $150 a month for them to hold it. I am going to donate mine, and if I ever need it I will ask for a donor
- I'm a nurse and was totally gung ho for saving my daughter's cord blood due to the fact I know it can save your child's life. Then I talked to my OB/GYN and was very surprised to hear they're not advocating it due to the fact there has been some very controversial information regarding the actual blood banks which store your child's blood. I never pursued the research because I totally trust my doctor and have talked with Dr.'s I work with who have agreed with the fact that while saving cord blood is a great thing, the companies that are doing it are not only charging a fortune, but have questionable reputations.
