  1. The Umbilical cord attached to the placenta which attaches to the wall of the mothers uterus during pregnancy.
  2. To the placenta. You know the second egg that helps the first one during maturation. It becomes the placenta, which the woman pushes out after (after birth) the baby comes out. ABout 5 or 20 min. after. Thumbs down? I guess I am wrong. My bad ya'll. I thought I remembered that there was the egg and a helper egg, but I am stupid most the time. SOrry for the wrong info. BUt, It is the Placenta, right, as least. Sorry again.
  3. What the first answerer told you is accurate. The placenta is not formed by 'the second egg' as someone else said. It forms as part of the entire gestational process, from cells, not a 'second egg'.
  4. 5. The umbilical cord is attached to the placenta, which is attached to the wall of the mother's uterus. The part of the uterus that the placenta attaches to is different for each pregnancy and there is no 'correct' place. Occasionally, the placenta attaches across the cervix which can cause problems in the pregnancy.
  6. The umbilical cord is firmly attached to the uterine wall. That is how the fetus receives the nutrients that they need to grow. It also sends oxygen to the baby....hope this helps :)
