- lou gherigs
- cancer, and they r studying to find out what else they can cure
- i dont know exactly why, buy i'ver heard from a doctor friend of mine that lukemia, and alzheimers can be wiped out with stem cell treatment, except without the proper research its imposible at this point to prove it....those were the only two my doc friend and i discussed...but im sure there are many more diseases that can be treated if not prevented or abolished.
- i would vote for either Alzheimer or growing new nerves for paralyzed or wheelchair-bound people. or a patch of heart tissue so that life after heart attack would be the same as before it - but i suppose-not sure that this one is already in trials?.
- I think spinal cord injuries are more curable by stem cell research.
- Stems cells can be used to create new organs, ain't that cool? Now heart transplants won't have to wait.
- It can heal hearts after a heart attack, MS, people who are paralyzed, incontinence, diabetes, ALS ( Lou Geherigh's Disease) , deafness , Alzheimer's I would say that any of those would have the most potential.. for anyone who has it. The potential for Stem Cells is limitless.. One need just be able to do the research, and to cure one person of any illness or disease to be able to prove it. I am a huge supporter. If I had known of the ramifications of Stem Cell research, I would have donated my sons' cord blood.. any child I may have in the future will have the knowlege that they helped in this endeavor.
- To me is organ transplants, 100% your own. there's a wide variety of diseases that can be cured or treated with stem cells, because they have the potential to become any tissue. To me this is the holy grail that waz given to us.The applications are unlimited, and each day i hear new discovery's made. if you have more questions feel free to mail me.
