Realistically, how long before science will be able to generate organs using our own DNA and stem cells?
I'd just read about an experiment where stem cells were grafted onto the "shell" of a rat's heart, and scientists using that as a framework were able to encourage growth such that a living, beating heart arose. How long before this might become available to human beings, any educated guesses if not realistic estimates?

- i'd have to guess with in the next 10 years. the scientist move pretty quickly on things like this. 10 years isn't really that long when you think of the details, and care taken in to the growth of such things as human organs.
- i think i once read news about using human's cell with animals' cells to create a new type of living.i think that's possible now.
