Cord Blood Stem Cells Information

Stem cells?

Why are you religious nuts against research into stem cells. The possibilities to help people are huge, yet you guys are against it. They are just cells, the cells are alive yes but they are not a person and never will be.

Public Comments

  1. babies are not animals Show respect or be ignored
  2. Believe it or not, we arent. Im a Christian and I am also receiving stem cell treatment for Leukemia... the stem cells were harvested from my baby brother's umbillical cells when he was born. There was no pain death or harm involved (you can read about this in the earliest entries of my 360 blog) my baby brother just turned 1 yr old yesterday. Christians are not opposed to this, just opposed to using aborted babies for the cells, and even worse, aborting babies FOR the cells.
  3. i am a proud religous nut and i'm not against the research of stem cells. as long as it is done willingly and humanely i have nothing against it.
  4. :sigh: its pretty devastating Id agree.
  5. First off you've been reported for the comment "Religious Nuts". Secondly you obviously know nothing about Stem Cell research. Let me enlighten you. There are two types...Adult and Embryonic. Adult Stem Cell research has been proven to help with numerous diseases and disorders. Embryonic Stem Cell research.....NONE. Not a single malady.
  6. Fetuses are valued by Christians because it's much easier to convert the young and foolish to your religion. Adults are not valued, because most of them have already made up their minds. They don't really care about people, they only care about converts.
  7. >>Why are you religious nuts against research into stem cells.<< It is a myth that the Catholic Church opposes stem cell research. What the Church really opposes is the killing of human embryos, NOT stem cell research itself. The Church is supportive of stem cell research that does not involve the destruction of human beings. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070109/hl_nm/vatican_stemcells_dc_3 http://www.nccbuscc.org/prolife/issues/bioethic/stemcell/stemcath.htm http://www.ncbcenter.org/10Myths.pdf
