- hopefully you have a lot of money... The Howard Hughes Foundation in Texas does things like that, (they do not ask for federal money....) as do research companies in Europe and South America, notably Brazil. Google it --- you may find something..... It is only in this country with the Christian Taliban in control that we have laws that will not allow federal monies to support stem cell research... And as those countries make progress, Americans will be flocking to their door for treatment(s). This Bush administration has foisted all sorts of stupid ideas into law, and it won't be very soon before the Democrats or someone stand up on their hind legs and say enough is enough..... an embryo, is no human--- it has no consciousness, no nervous system, feels nothing, and is at best only the beginnings of a parasite. No other country has problems with it, just this one.... Isn't it curious that this country protects a non-human clump of cells, but sends fully grown men into a hopeless foreign civil war that blow off their legs, and then doesn't even take very good care of them? This administration regards them as firewood, yet gives regal status to 10 - 50 cells. Go figure.
- stem cells are still in laboratory waiting for religious and political allowance.and they are still in researching stage(applying them on laboratory rats). now scientist are trying to take out the genetic material from the (primary oocyte) and insert the nucleus of any somatic cell like skin cell and then initiate mitotic divisions which will give pluripoietic cells(means that they give any type of cells :including neurons and others) and this will be more acceptable by law.
