my credit score is 540 banking my baby's cord blood is very important to me but I don't know that i could afford it without a payment plan. they offer payment plans as low as $50 a month for 60 months which ismuch cheaper than it use to be

  1. Hi you'll have to discuss it with the company that does that but usually they ask you to pay by the month to keep it in there & it doesn't cost very much over a year. Plus you aren't "buying" anything fr them, they are storing & caring for it for you. So really you just need to find out if you can afford the monthly end, I'd call & ask to speak to an account manager & ask about how they ask you to pay & mention that due to your financial situation (don't mention the credit score, its none of their business unless you have to pay up front or start financing with them). Plus EVERYONE who has a baby is in short Supply of MONEY--so just say "Ohh you know, New baby & everything--money doesn't grow on trees, laugh a little"... & ask if you can simply pay per month. I mean not everyone has a credit card either, ask if you can drop off a cheque or money order every month. Personally I don't see this as being a big deal OR Anything where your credit will be "found out". & It never hurts to ASK!!
  2. Banking cord blood, is extremely expensive. I was actually shocked at how unobtainable it can be for the majority of working America. When I looked into it, it was about $2500 up front fee, and then about the same every 5 years or so. At the time I was very new in my career and there was no way I could do that. The financing will eat you alive....the fees are very high.
