Stem Cells?
I am 28 yr, suffering from Cerebellar Ataxia, (progressive disablities, its very difficult to perform daily activities with such disease) there is no cure for this, but recently stem cell transplantaion is taking place in some countries. If some one have already transplanted stem cell in Cerebellum (part of brain), Is it OK, is the treatment is permanent ?

- yes
- Sorry, but there really are no secrets in medicine, no experts who are decades ahead of the rest of the world. It's something of a conservative profession, because the vast majority of promising treatments turn out not to work as experience progresses. Not being able to control your movements really must be horrible, and your desperation is certainly understandable, but you need to be skeptical, because the world, in medicine, is a very tiny place, and any treatment for any disease that works quickly becomes standard, so any truthfully positive answer would mean that the treatment would be generally available.
