NO, for some reason liberals want to believe that the embryonic stem cells will produce a cure for EVERYTHING.
OOoo I'm glad someone brought this up. I'm betting Bush still doesn't fund it. You've been starred btw. Harryd you have no idea what you're talking about. Research scientists are some of the most underpaid people there are. Most of the clinical trials now are conducted collaboratively by "real doctors" and research scientists as well. Please consider the salary of an entry level MBA (roughly 100k/year) before you make exaggerated claims that research scientists (entry level is 44k/year with a Ph.D.) are paid some imaginary huge sum of money.
Why would that end it? The embryos in question before were just being thrown away, but no one gave a damn about that. Hmmm, put them in the trash, or use them to save lives....and yet, Bush vetoed the bill.
No. The pro-abortion crowd will still advocate the experimentation with embryonic stem cells because it further cheapens life. I wonder if the democrats will use M.J Fox this election cycle.

I sure hope so...it's amazing...and the possibility of rejection is almost nil, if the cells to be reprogrammed come from the adult who needs treatment! Did you also see a few months ago that they used adult stem cells from a person to cure their diabetes? It wasn't heavily reported, but HUGE news for me. Of course, from the major news media, they like to confuse the issue
As long as there's still grant money available, the embryonic stem cell research scam will keep on going. Adult stem cell research which IS producing results will continue to be conducted by real doctors. The "research scientists" will continue to milk the grant cow for as long as possible before those controlling the purse strings catch on that they've been had. Embryonic stem cell research has produced no results whatsoever.
