- Congrats!!!! Those interviews are nerve racking, but first of all, they already KNOW that you have the brains to do the work or you would not have been given the interview. SO, what they will likely be looking for are things like your being articulate, having a good work ethic, how much you want the degree (grad schools HATE it when you drop out after they have put so much effort into training you), and to some degree personality. Grad school classes are usually quite small compared to undergrad and being pleasant to be around won't hurt. Dress professionally....no tight jeans and low cut tops. Wear a nice pants suit if you have one, if not, get a nice pair of black pants and a flattering blouse or sweater. Be honest in your answers and if you do not know the answer ( and this is VITAL) rather then just saying I don't know, add what you would do to FIND the answer...that will show them you can think on your feet and plan. Good luck!
