- nope have not
- I signed up to do it with Cord Blood Registry. The day before I went into labor I found out I was breach so when I went into labor...finding the stuff for banking the blood was the last thing on my mind. They charged me $150 for a cancellation fee.
- I haven't, but this year my baby was born and I did a lot of inquiries about it. One of the things that you have to look out for is make sure that the company you chose is properly insured and with contingency protocols with other companies, so that in case it goes bankrupt the insurance money will cover the expenses and other companies will take over so that you don't lose the blood. Hope it helps and good luck with your baby.
- I wanted to with my twins and was going to go with cordblood.com but they were a rare type of twins and their umblical cords were so tangled and knotted they were not able to get any good blood out. My suggestion would be for everyone to bank it no matter what the expense. My oldest twin suffered brain damage due to the tangled cords and has severe cerebral palsy, uses a tracheostomy and ventilator to breath, almost 3 and can't even roll over. Her cord blood and stem cells could help treat her but I wasn't able to get the blood. Everyone always says its too expensive or a waste of time, but I gurantee if your child turned out to really need it you would change your mind
