laboratory medicine and pathobiology?
what is difference between laboratory medicine and pathobiology and molecular genetics and microbiology?
Public Comments
- Hi, laboratory medicine involves the study of pathological specimes (such as urine blood etc) in the pathology lab. Patholobiology, or more correctly pathophysiology, is the study of the bodys response to pathological conditions. in other words it examines the effects of disease states on the body. Molecular genetics is the study of cells and their DNA/RNA and how the entire genetic system works within the cell. Microbiology is the study of organic patheogens such as bacteria, viruses and fungi. As you can see they are all related to some extent and part of the bigger picture of medical science. Hope this helps!
