2. Stem Cells are the cells from an embryo during its very earliest cell divisions. The cells are not specialized to specific functions yet (blood vessels, live cells, etc) so when harvested they can be cultured to achieve a specific purpose. They can be made into a heart, kidney, skin tissue etc.
