Cord Blood Stem Cells Information

cord blood?

Does anyone know how much it cost to bank cord blood? I am only 12 weeks pregnant but I figured the sooner I know more about it the sooner I can make a decision as to whether or not it is something I want to do and the more time I will have to save money. I know the initial fee will be over $1000 but I want to know how much over and how much the yearly fee will be. If you have banked cord blood please let me know how its actually done and if you have ever used it.

I did some research on this before. The website I looked at said that it would cost somewhere close to 2500 to begin with and 125 a year after.
Hi I cant answer your question, I decided against banking my daughter's because of the cost. but I wanted to let you know that if you also decide against it, you can donate it for free. you just need to call for the kit and take it to the hospital with you... i didn't know that was an option before having my daughter but thats what i will do next time, (unless i become rich enough to bank it in the meantime!)...
