- Yes it's worth it, it can be expensive, I did it with all my children. Read the pamplet, it will explain it to you.
- We banked my son's cord blood. Basically, cord blood contains millions of stem cells, which are currently being used to cure many diseases. We banked the blood because we had the extra money, and it would be heartbreaking if our son had something that stem cells could cure and we didn't bank. Its not cheap. We paid around $2800 for the fee's and 1st year storage. You will have to pay a yearly storage fee after that.
- i wanted to do it..but i couldnt cuz i didnt have the money..its very expensive
- I'd love to do this, but it's almost $3000 to just start storing it, then it's an addition $150 or more for each year you store it. We honestly can't afford it. I'm going on maternity leave and will have no income coming in between April and September (I'm a teacher) so it's just not financially doable for us. But it's a good idea if you can afford it.
- yes it is worth it read the leaflets, you could save lives . in the UK its not something we have to pay to do!! just sign a form and agree to it I'm shocked you all seem to have to pay to do it!!!
- It's not worth it unless you or your partner have a genetic disposition to leukemia, sickle cell, and other related illnesses that would require a blood transfusion. It is VERY expensive, and you have to pay each year for the blood to be stored at the facility. If you have the money, go ahead, but if you don't, you probably do not need to worry about it.
