  1. as to questions one and two, work as long as your comfortable with it and you doc says its ok. as to the second question I have never heard that before. If it was true there would have been a lot more babies born with the cord around thier neck. but im not sure.
  2. 1) I find most people tell their employers in the 2nd trimester, it is up to you 2) I haven't heard that, it didn't happen to me 3) Typically with twins your OBGYN may have you leave work earlier. I know a woman I used to work with, she was pregnant with twins and she began her leave at 24 weeks (she had big healthy babies too..they were each like 6 - 7 lbs which is rare for twins). The decision is yours, if you are comfortable and your Dr. is okay with it, you could work until the end. I stayed until I had my baby as well. Congrats & good luck!!
  3. I can answer number 2 for you.. bending over and reaching high does not rap the cord or anything.. but I was told by my doctor to not bend at my waste and pick things up, but to bend at the knees
  4. You should notify your employer right away of being pregnant. There are certain safety checks they need to do in order for you to be safe at work. You may need more frequent breaks, time to get up and stretch, and time off for midwife appointments. Bending over during pregnancy will not wrap the cord around the babies neck. If that were the case, there would be some very hard pressed preg ladies out there, or allot more bad endings. How far you can go. That all depends on what the midwife says, how you feel, and if you are missing days from work. Technically, if you are in good health, you can work until the day you go into labor. However, I doubt you will get that far with twins. Good luck and congrats.
  5. its really up to you and id ask your doctor when he thinks you should stop working i heard if you hang out washing you can wrap the cord around the neck well with my first i hang out washing and the cord was around his neck so i didn't with my second and he never i did with my third and she did so i don't know if it coincidence or not but i didn't risk it with the others but if you feel OK to work and your doc says its OK then work as long as you can up until 28 weeks with twin you will need your rest before there born and tell your emploter straight away that your pregnant good luck
  6. 1.. TELL YOUR EMPLOYER ASAP SO THAT THEY CAN GET THEIR THINGS RiGHT.. 2.. iVE NEVER HEARD OF THAT!! 3.. iF I HAD A JOB WHERE i SAT DOWN ALLDAY I WOULDNT STOP TiL MY WATER BREAKS!! LOL.. iTS UP TO YOU!!
  7. Tell your employer as soon as possible, but have a plan as to how long you plan to work. You can bend over without risking harm to your babies. You could work up until it is no longer comfortable for you to work, unless your doc says otherwise. Good luck with the twins! Twins rock!
  8. you should tell you employer that you are pregnant then when you are getting closer to the due date and you don't feel comfortable or your doctor tell you not to work anymore inform your employer and no by bending you cant wrap the cord around the Babbie's neck things like sweeping mopping can wrap the cord you can work as long as you feel comfortable congratulations on the twins and good luck
