Is This True??
I have heard from different people that, When you're pregnant, you shouldn't reach over your head that much because that could cause the umbilical cord to wrap around the baby's neck?? And if it is true, Is it just towards the end of pregnancy that would happen or anytime??

- Old Wives Tale
- WIVES TALE! Reach above your head all you want! :)
- No, this is not true.
- no
- It's not true. It's a ridiculous old wives' tale. If that was the case, I guess you wouldn't be able to put a pullover shirt on or blowdry your hair. Silly. Don't believe this kind of junk.
- That's not true, but my doctor said not to do any lifting over my head(like at the gym doing weight lifting or decorating with heavier things).
- Hi, I heard about this, but not from the point of umbilical cord. I heard that reaching upto smth may press on the artery or nerve somewhere, so you may loose your balance (feeling fainting) and fall. So potential FALLING on the floor is a danger. Good luck!
- No you can do as much movement you want and by the way it is better for the babe
- i think its true but mabe not
- old wives tales dont worry
- Old wives' tale, sorry.
- I think that you have heard an old wise tell!! I have heard a lot of them in my time.. I just have to say this is new,, I would think that if you are jumping around and acting crazy, then maybe the umbilical cord... could be wrapped around the neck!! I would have to say that I am streaching above my head all the time and the baby is fine!! I would like to say not to worry!! To me this is a funny little story!!
