5. I banked my daughters cord blood but for donation. We have no history of genetic diseases that seemed that cord blood would be useful for so we chose donation. It was easy and free. The blood could be stored to help someone in need or used for research which is very important. If you aren't going to keep it for yourself it is good to donate it. This is the company we used.
