he's 10 days and its bleeding a lil does that mean its going to fall off?

1. My son's did this. The doctor said it was just from internal stress put on it from him crying or having BMs. Just to watch it and make sure it didn;t get worse or infected.
2. Yeah, it should be starting to come off, make sure there is NO infection, and no foul smell to it...also you can use a bit of organic honey to help dry it up...no peroxide! If it is infected or bad smelling he needs to see his Dr.
3. probably soon...I would make sure you keep the diaper folded down and try to keep his clothes from rubbing against it...my youngest sons did that too and I took him to the pediatrician...the doctor used this stick thing that had a purple end and pressed it down into the umbilical cord hole...my poor baby screamed and screamed!!!, but the doctor said it was to help dry it up faster....I also used alcohol swabs at every diaper change like he told me to do
