Cord Blood Stem Cells Information

My period came and an umbilical cord-looking thing came out with it, is it a possible "miscarriage"?

It's a mixture of green/yellow/brown and looks very much like an umbilical cord. However, I've not had any signs of pregnancy, so I'm not too sure what this means. Is this just a miscarriage at an extremely early stage, whereby the embryo simply bleeds as though I'm having a normal period, and the remains, i.e. the umbilical cord, comes out together with my period?

  1. i dont know about this one sweetie, you need to call your doctor or go to the ER asap because its not a good sign. good luck and please go get checked out now.
  2. ask doctor, and you can't have your period when your carring a baby.
  3. Baby dosen't have an umbilibal cord until well after your first missed peroid, around 6-8 weeks or later. The sac and lining of your uterus provide inital nutrients for the dividing cells of the embryo, so I doubt you've passed a "cord".
  4. that's pretty serious. you could have had an early miscarriage but i doubt that a "cord" would have come out. it was probably the sac but badly deteriorated or something. you really need to phone the hospital and ask them if it would be necesarry to go into the ER or wait to see your regular OBGYN on Monday. Give them a call and find out. Better safe than sorry! I am really sorry if you did miscarry. But, if you did miscarry, at least you know that you can get preggers.
