Umbilical Cord?
In early development of the embryo there is the yolk sac and allantois right? Now do the yolk sac and allantois form the umbilical cord in later development?

- The human allantois is an endodermal evagination of the developing hindgut which becomes surrounded by the mesodermal connecting stalk. The connecting stalk forms the umbilical vasculature. These endodermal and mesodermal tissues together form the human umbilical cord. The allantois later becomes the urachus.
- the umbilical cord is the fusion of the allantois and the chorion. The yolk sac is its own thing early in development, and its connection is through the vitelline arteries and veins, and never is a part of the umbilical cord. As a side note, its actually called the umbilical vessels during development, but most people don't care.
