- .. itc an do that?
- I didnt think that could be done
- the midwife, or doctor or the father cuts it after birth, not the baby they arnt that clever
- i don't think a baby can cut its own cord. the person who dilivers your baby can cut the cord or the dad or whoever is there. but also is the cord inside the womb or outside the womb?
- your partner husband or nurse cut the umbilical cord
- i find it hard to believe that a baby could cut its umbilical cord at all.
- The umbilical cord is very tough, like a flexible hosepipe for watering the garden. A new born baby is not strong enough to cut it. Even my strapping 6 foot 2 husband had trouble cutting my son's cord with sharp surgical scissors! A baby can sometimes become tangled up in the umbilical cord, and the cord can get crushed during birth leading to lack of oxygen to the baby. Is that the sort of situation you were thinking of?
