Are embryonic stem cells the only way to cure?

Hi everybody. A member of my family had an adult stem cell treatment for heart disease. Then he was told that the treatment with adult cells could have little or zero effect. Is this true that adult stem cells from bone marrow have no effect? Are the embryonic stem cells the only way for cure?

1. Altough past adult stem cell studies certified that they can be successfully used for different cure, now it seems that some data about adult stem cells have to be reconsidered. This doesn't mean adult stem cells are useless for any cure, but some new research admits that -generally speaking - efficiency of the adult stem cells therapies is a few steps behind that of embryonic stem cells. The bottom line is that studies with the stem cells are still revealing interesting effects on the human body. You should not be worried, since the treatment you talk about was precisely diagnosed by doctors and your family member shouldn't rely on a general opinion from anyone.
2. Am sure that ,once there has been no effect from adult stem cell treatment, your doctor must have recommended the embryonic stem cells implants which carry more chances for success. Best Wishes.
