What do you think: Embryonic Stem Cells?
I'm doing a science project on embryonic stem cells, and I just wanted to know what everyone thinks about it. It would be helpful if you included your gender and age range, but it is not required. Thanks!!! Age Ranges: 18 & UNDER 19-28 29-38 39-48 49+

- Millions, possibly billions, of comparable "lives" are lost every year, with no benefit to anyone. Certainly tens, if not hundreds of thousands of embryos are intentionally created, and then wasted. Their potential to become people is just as gone whether they're used to research or treatment as if they're discarded. Also any pro-lifer who hasn't adopted as many children as they can afford is a hypocrite. Age 29
- I think research on them should be legalized, to the point of not even being a subject of controversy. (Who'd have thought, say, back in the 1950's - that 21st-century science would be hobbled by superstitious mumbo-jumbo and crackpot religion at the highest levels of the U.S. Government itself???) Age: OLD by your standards, I'm quite sure!
- I feel it is narrow minded to prohibit federal funding for stem cell research. If we have the ability to save lives using stem cells it should be done. George Bush has obviously never been touched by a friend or loved one who could benefit from such research. Female 49+
- I have mixed feelings...are we starting to play God and mess with natural forces? Or are we being responsible and compassionate beings who want to help save lives?
