Where do scientist get the fertilized eggs from? In this website, http://stemcells.nih.gov/info/basics/basics3.asp it says stem cells are not derived from eggs fertilized in a woman's body

1. Thats true they are often taken from IVF clinics, where the owner has no further need for them.
2. not fertilized in a womans body in this case only means that the eggs from the donor woman is collected and fertilized in vitro ( in a laboratory and not as it normally occurs in the body of a women) theres nothing more to it then that
