Umbilical cord question?

I am 23 weeks, and I know that sometimes babys play and pull on the umbilical cord. Could it ever pull hard enough to rip, tear, or damage the cord? Also, if I'm 23 weeks, when will my baby turn? (upsodedown)

  1. I would say just put your baby in a Onesie, a cover-all outfit. You know? He wont be able to get to it. And about tha baby flipping, I am 37 weeks and my baby is already in position. I found out about a month ago. But with every baby it is different. Some dont even turn and that is why some moms gotta have a c-section. So there is no specific time your baby will turn. When tha baby is ready! Well good luck and congrats!
  2. That would have to be one strong baby to damage its umbilical cord. At 23 weeks your baby isn't strong enough to do much. Even when they are born their muscles are very weak. The umbilical cord is pretty strong. If you've ever seen someone cut one after the birth, it takes quite a bit of effort. I wouldn't worry about that..it's extremely unlikely to happen. Congrats :-)
